My NEW BOOK: THE ALPHA MALE GENTLEMAN

A Excellent Example of a gentleman with during Function and Style is:

Chapter 11: Enduring Functioning and Style

I am personally not a proponent of neckties unless a tie is needed for the occasion or required by the setting. I will always respect the circumstances that I am entering. I prefer an open collar, much like my friend Kenny Polcari, a member of the New York Stock Exchange and Partner and Chief Market Strategist at Slatestone Wealth, who appears regularly on FOX Business.

Kenny always dresses professionally without a necktie, simply wearing an open-collar button-down Oxford shirt, and presents himself with a well-groomed beard. Guys, if you are going to wear a beard, buy clippers with attachments so you can keep it neatly trimmed.

His look projects competence and ease, whether he is appearing on national television or meeting clients. Beyond finance, Kenny blogs about his love of food and adventure and carries a rich family history that reflects the same grounded values many of us country gentlemen hold dear.

An open collar works only when paired with the right outer layer. Without a jacket, the look can appear unfinished. I favor a sports jacket for most client meetings or, in my case, an A-2 leather flight jacket. The A-2 delivers a sharp, professional silhouette while remaining practical for a man who spends time outdoors.

Kenny’s open-collar approach succeeds for the same reason: the jacket completes the ensemble and signals respect for the occasion without the formality of a necktie. Whether you are meeting clients, appearing on camera, or simply conducting business in a rural setting, the combination of a clean Oxford shirt and a well-chosen jacket keeps you looking polished and age-defying.

Seasoning

Seasoning is equally personal and powerful. One of my foundational blends is Cavenders Greek Seasoning, an excellent all-purpose mix that enhances both meats and vegetables. I order it in five-pound pails directly from its hometown of Harrison, Arkansas, ensuring a steady supply. Over years of cooking, every gentleman develops a preferred balance of spices suited to his own palate. I purchase spices in large restaurant-sized containers both for economy and for consistency. A well-stocked spice cabinet, used with restraint and intention, becomes an extension of the cook’s judgment rather than a collection of afterthoughts.

Chapter 20: Culinary Arts Beyond Cookbooks

The Alpha Male Gentleman is more than a guide to charisma and physical strength. It also covers style, fashion, proper grooming, hosting, and the culinary arts—essential skills for elevating any social engagement. Among the many refinements a true gentleman pursues, few bring greater satisfaction than mastering outdoor grilling. Drawing from techniques refined in our catering business, this book shares practical tips for creating memorable meals. One of the most valuable is preparing a marinade that delivers perfectly tender, flavorful steak, the centerpiece of any successful gathering.

Techniques for Marinating Meats- If you’ve never used tequila as an ingredient in your marinade, you’re missing out on a truly great steak. Tequila and baking soda tenderizes beef while seasoning pork, chicken, and seafood (including shrimp and salmon), infusing them with bright, bold flavors. These are my five favorite marinade ingredients I would like to share with you:

I am so serious about smoking/grilling that I built my own grill/smoker out of quarter-inch steel that I welded together in my welding shop. I have yet over two years have a bad grilling experience. The heavy metal keeps perfect temperatures for grilling/smoking. If you need tips on smoking my friend Hoang Lam is on ‘X’ to review his tips and techniques.

My advice to high school students who are graduating or about to graduate: Give yourself one of the biggest advantages in life by attending community college first and learning a trade that can start earning you money within 18–24 months. Then, if you still decide to pursue a four-year college degree, you’ll already have a solid second career path in your back pocket. I took welding classes before I retired as a grid engineer, and I thoroughly enjoy my second career today.
